Maintenance, tyres & batteries

Maintenance, tyres and batteries: fewer breakdowns, honest cost per km

Record every service and repair, get reminded before the next one is due, follow each tyre from purchase to retread to scrap with its real cost per kilometre, and keep every battery’s checks and warranty in one place.

Definition

Tyre cost per km is the purchase price of a tyre (plus any retreading) divided by the kilometres it actually ran on your vehicles, from fitment to removal. It shows which brand or supplier really gives the cheapest running.

How do maintenance reminders work?

When you close a work order, enter when the next service is due, by kilometres, by date or both. The alert centre shows it as due within 30 days, within 7 days or overdue, and the owner can get it on WhatsApp. Scheduled tasks also plan the next due point automatically.

  • Service due alerts by km use the latest odometer from trips and fuel.
  • Simple checks (oil, coolant, tyre pressure) can be assigned to the driver app.
  • Downtime days show how long a vehicle stood in the workshop.

How does tyre tracking work?

Each tyre is registered with its serial number, brand, size, purchase price and supplier, and whether it is new or retreaded. You fit it to a vehicle position on an axle diagram, and when it comes off you record the km and the reason. The app works out km run and cost per km.

Retread counts and the tyre cost report show which tyres fail early and which suppliers last longest. Tyres are part of the Pro and Premium plans.

What if we repair vehicles in our own workshop?

Pro and Premium include an own-workshop mode: job cards, a parts store, mechanics and bays for your own vehicles. If you also repair outside customers’ vehicles and bill them, the full workshop add-on adds estimates, GST job invoices and insurance claims. See the workshop page.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I record repairs done at an outside garage?

Yes. A work order names the workshop, lists parts and labour, and stores the invoice photo. The cost goes to the vehicle’s P&L.

Does the app know when a service is due by kilometres?

Yes. It compares the due km with the vehicle’s latest odometer reading from trips and fuel entries and raises an alert as it gets close.

Which plan has tyre management?

Tyre register, fitment and tyre cost per km are in Pro and Premium. Maintenance work orders and service alerts are in every plan.
